What would you do to take an install-fresh copy of SS2 and slap any and every enhancing mod on it? Also, list all the (upgrade/enhancing) mods that you know of. I've never seen this done before (maybe it has), but if we can get enough good info together - and get an admin to sticky the thread, I think that would be a great thing - provided there is enough info. The thought has occurred to me though, that we should make a 'Modernize System Shock 2' GUIDE for everyone to use, much like the wonderful SS1/2 compatibility guides. Sadly, real life keeps me from being involved in the forums night and day.įor my own personal use, I would like to know of (even if I don't use each one) every tweak/update/mod/patch of note which has been made by the community. However, I've been browsing the forums a lot lately, and have heard several people mention upgrades that I knew nothing of! Someone mentioned there's a CFG hack to play at higher than 1024x768? YaY! I've also heard of transparent doors, updated weapon models, etc - but I haven't seen these or know where to download them. I play SS2 fairly frequently and have loved using the upgrade mods like Rebirth and SHTUP, and thought I knew about nearly everything which had been developed to enhance or modernize SS2.
